Spencer Downing, Jr.

Spencer B. Downing, Jr., age 99, of Glen Mills, PA, formerly of Narberth and Paxon Hollow, PA, passed away on July 10, 2018.
Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of Spencer B., Sr. and Mae (nee Patterson) Downing.
Spencer was a graduate of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
He was employed as a CPA.
Spencer enjoyed performing at the Hedgerow Theatre Company in the play - A Christmas Carol - for many years.
He loved playing golf and bridge as well as travelling all over the world.
Spencer was the loving husband of the late Mary S. (nee Fearing); the loving father of Spencer B. Downing, III (Beth) and Lea D. Attanasio (Mark V.); the proud grandfather of Andrew Downing, Elizabeth Hanna David, Steven Downing, David A. Hanna and Caroline Moore.
He is also survived by 3 great-grandchildren, Eli David, Noelle Hanna, Jaina Moore and his dear sister, Mary Mathieson.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation Saturday, July 14, 2018, 10:00 - 10:50 AM at St. Mary Magdalen Church, 2400 N. Providence Road, Media, PA 19063, followed by his Funeral Mass at 11 AM.
Interment SS Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
