Sonya E. Dellevigne

Sonya E. Dellevigne (née D’Egidio), 85, of West Chester, PA passed away on November 8, 2025.

Born in Bryn Mawr, PA in 1940, she was the daughter of the late Gabriel A. and Mary (née Cappelli) D’Egidio.

Sonya grew up in Highland Park and Newtown Square, PA and attended Upper Darby High School. She worked at Chilton Publishing until she married and started her family.

Sonya was a devoted wife and mother, who loved playing cards and Mahjong. She was an avid bowler in her younger days and was a collector of ceramics and crystal. She travelled throughout Europe, but especially loved exploring Italy and her parents’ Itailan heritage. She leaves behind many relatives in the Main Line and suburban areas of Philadelphia, where she grew up.

She was a member of the Newcomers Club, as well as a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and “Holly Trails” in Hunterdon County, New Jersey, where she lived for many years. She also lived in Newark, DE for 18 years, where she made many friends and enjoyed meeting them for birthday lunches every year. She loved yoga and gardening and was an expert at orchid care.

Sonya was the beloved wife of John P. “Jack” Dellevigne; loving mother of Ramona, Laura and Gabriel P. Dellevigne; and dear grandmother of Nathan and Alexis Dellevigne.

Friends are relatives are invited to her Viewing 11:30 AM-12:30 PM Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at the Donohue Funeral Home, 1627 West Chester, West Chester, PA 19382 followed by her Funeral Service 12:30 PM. Interment Private.
