After a long and happy life filled with friends, family, and a love for plants and animals, Shirlee Lastick, age 93, of Broomall, PA, died on January 5, 2026. She was predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Stanley, and her sister, Thelma.
Shirlee grew up in Philadelphia and modeled after graduating from high school. Devoted to style and a lover of the arts, she was the perfect match for her husband who was a well-regarded clothing merchant. Shirlee was a wonderful cook and creative baker. A homemaker extraordinaire, she made her home a welcome haven for friends and neighbors throughout the years.
Before she lost her strength, she sat down and played the piano with a smile on her face. She is survived by her son, Eric; her daughter, Carolyn and her husband, Steve; and her granddaughter, Zoë Leigh. She was a dedicated gardener and a friend to her cats, the horses she visited, and to the birds that frequented her feeders. Shirlee’s sense of love and compassion was an inspiration to all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and always remembered.
