Sheila Ann Phelan

Sheila Ann Phelan, born on January 25, 1943, departed this world on January 7, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. Sheila was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of all who knew her.

Sheila is survived by her beloved husband, John J. Phelan, with whom she shared a life filled with devotion and companionship for 62 years. Together, they created a nurturing home for their three children: John Phelan, III (Ann Lovegren), Nancy Walsh (James Walsh), and Daniel Phelan (Dana Phelan). Sheila's role as a mother was a cornerstone of her life; she approached motherhood with passion and commitment, instilling in her children cherished values and an enduring sense of family.

Sheila's love extended to her grandchildren—Linsey, Megan Benjamin, Cali, Delaney and Daelyn—who brought boundless joy into her life. She took pride in watching them grow and flourished in the time she spent with them, imparting wisdom and laughter.

In addition to her immediate family, Sheila is also survived by her siblings, Stephen Harlen and Paula Harlen Doering and her former daughter-in-law Marianne Phelan .

Prior to her retirement Sheila worked at Lockheed Martin/GE as an administrative assistant.

Sheila was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Ann (nee McGurk) Harlen, whose guidance and support laid the foundation for Sheila's compassionate spirit. She also mourned the loss of her brothers, Mark Harlen and Gregory Harlen, who will be remembered with love and fondness.

Relatives and friends are invited to Sheila's visitation on Saturday, January 17, 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at St. Norbert Church, 50 Leopard Road, Paoli, PA followed by her funeral mass at 10:30 AM. Interment private.
