Sheila T. O'Connor

Sheila T. O’Connor (Bryn Mawr, PA) Age 90, beloved wife of Gerald J. O’Connor, passed away peacefully on November 5, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her children: Gerald O’Connor Jr. (Jacqueline), Sheila Wagner (John), Karen Potocki (Paul) and Greg O’Connor. She is loved by her fifteen grandchildren: Paul Jr., Colleen, Kevin, Andrew, Mark, Alexis, Matthew, Grayson, Katie, Jerry III, Kelly, Jennifer, Jack, Allison and Charles and her great grandchildren, Everett and Adalynn. 

Sheila's incredible talents as both an artist and a singer brightened the lives of those around her.  She performed with the Naples Philharmonic Chorale for many years among other groups including the Savoy Opera in Philadelphia. Her passionate love for music was a source of fun and enjoyment for her family and friends. Evenings spent gathered around the piano, were cherished traditions that enriched the lives of all fortunate enough to experience her beautiful voice. Indeed, singing was a cornerstone of her life and a constant source of joy for her family and all who were touched by her remarkable gift.

Her creative side manifested in many ways as she was also a gifted artist. Sheila studied painting with Pearl Slobodian in Philadelphia and with Marco Bronzini in Naples, FL. Many people are blessed to have her artwork in their homes. 

Sheila was a graduate of Gwynedd Mercy University, a long time beloved member of Overbrook Golf Club and an avid supporter of St. Jude Hospital for Children and Hope Partnership for Education. 

Mass of Christian burial will take place on November 13, 2023 at 9:30 am viewing and 11:00 am mass at Saint John Neumann Catholic Church, 380 Highland lane, Bryn Mawr, Pa 19010. Interment private.
