Sharron Evelyn Pike, 79, of Christiana, PA, formerly of Parkville, MD, passed away on June 20, 2025.
Born on April 14, 1946, in Baltimore, MD, Sharron was the cherished eldest daughter of the late James J. and Ruth (nee Leiberman) Rachuba. She attended Catholic School during her formative years and graduated from The Catholic High School of Baltimore, MD. Sharron was a hard-working mother who dedicated herself to her children and her career. She worked as a secretary for Social Security, taking an early retirement to enjoy various part-time jobs and spending time at the Delaware seashore.
Sharron had a passion for collecting items, gardening both flowers and edibles, and indulging in all kinds of crafts especially country-style crafts. She loved animals, attending craft fairs, quilting, embroidery, needlepoint, antiques, and was an avid reader. Her favorite music artists were Madonna and Jim Croce. Vacationing in Florida, Williamsburg, or “down the ocean” were among her favorite pastimes.
Sharron was the beloved mother of two daughters, April (nee Walker) Wood and Barbara Pike; the adoring grandmother of Kaleb Newell and Fenna Blair; and the dear sister of Gail Lukens. She was predeceased by her youngest sister, Penny Eder. Sharron is also survived by her niece, Julia Fischer, along with Julia's spouse Mark and their two children Liliana and Axel, and her nephew, Bradley Lukens, along with Bradley's spouse Kelly and their three children, Camden, Fletcher, and Bodhi.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Viewing from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM on Friday, June 27, 2025, at The Donohue Funeral Home, 43 W. Lancaster Ave., Downingtown, PA 19335, followed by her Funeral Service at 11:30 AM. Interment at Northwood Cemetery, Downingtown.
