Shakunthala Krishna

Shakunthala Krishna, age 85, of West Chester, PA, passed away on August 13, 2022. Born in Moulmein, Burma on March 15, 1937, she was the daughter of G. Naidu and Chittama. Shakunthala was the woman president of the Hindu Central Board in Moulmein. 

Shakunthala was the beloved wife of the late Dr. Hari Krishna.  She was the mother to her loving children Pramela Krishna, Leela Thain (& Dr. Umesh), Ganesh Krishna (& Dr.  Gayathri), and Mela Win (& Dr. Nagesh). Shakunthala was the devoted grandmother to Sunita, Loghan, Mahesh, Morgann, Pooja and Vishal. She is survived by her siblings Dr. Ram Naidu, Dr. Jini Min and Madhav Rao.

Shakunthala enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She liked to volunteer for temple services and read books such as the Bhagavad Gita. She liked to cook for her family and friends, always insisting on making sure they were well-fed. And she also liked to watch soap operas, with her favorites being The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful.

A Funeral Service will be held at The Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA 19082 on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at 1:30 PM.
