Sara Jane Madden

Sara Jane Madden, age 90, passed away on July 5, 2023.  Beloved daughter of the late John Quinn and Jane (nee Butler) Quinn.

Sara was predeceased by her husband Francis William Madden and her brother Robert Quinn (June).  She is survived by her loving children, Barbara Madden (Gus Ciardullo), Francis D. Madden (Debra), Carol Jameison (Steven), and David J. Madden (Christine); grandchildren, Francis, Nicole (James), Danielle, Christopher, and Kaitlyn.

Sara was a graduate of West Philadelphia High School and attended Drexel University. She worked for many years as an administrative assistant in the insurance and publishing industries. She was very active in her church and was a member of the Sacred Heart Knitting Group, where she made blankets for newborns in the parish. Her favorite television show was Seinfeld and she had the ability to relate nearly every situation in her life to a Seinfeld episode. More than anything, Sara loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She will be missed by all.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing at The Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA on Wednesday July 12^th from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.  Her funeral mass will be at Sacred Heart Church, 105 Wilson Ave, Havertown, PA on Thursday July 13^th at 10:30 AM  followed by her interment at SS Peter and Paul Cemetery, 1600 Sproul Rd, Springfield, PA.
