Sandra Lee Nestor

Sandra Lee “Sandy” Nestor (nee Bartley), age 64, of Drexel Hill, PA, passed away peacefully in her home on August 23, 2026. Born in 1961, she was the daughter of Beverly (nee Lewis) and the late Daniel Bartley.

Sandy devoted herself wholly and selflessly to those she loved. Her vocation as a Teacher’s Aide at Hillcrest Elementary School allowed her to nurture and encourage generations of young minds, planting seeds of curiosity, kindness, and confidence in each child she guided. Sandy’s warmth, patience, and boundless encouragement left an indelible mark on the Hillcrest community.

Her heart’s deepest joy resided in her family. Sandy cherished each moment spent surrounded by her children and grandchildren, her pride shining brilliantly as she attended every game, concert, recital, and competition, celebrating achievements great and small. To her grandchildren in particular, Sandy was a source of daily delight; she enjoyed ‘spoiling’ them, creating magical memories and making every day feel as festive and special as Christmas morning. Her unwavering love was a constant gift, one that her family will carry with them always.

The spirit of service was an ever-present current in Sandy’s life. As a dedicated volunteer at the food pantry of St. Bernadette’s, she embodied compassion in action, extending her hand to those in need with quiet humility and steadfast devotion. Her presence brightened countless days and provided solace to many within her faith community.

In her moments of leisure, Sandy found joy in the warm glow of the Hallmark Channel, especially the much-anticipated Christmas movies, whose themes of hope, joy, and familial love echoed the values with which she lived her own life.

Sandy was the beloved wife of George Nestor; loving mother of Patrick Nestor (Jessica), Lindsay Kammler (Adam), Joseph Nestor (Veronica), Lauren Nestor (John), and George Nestor (Kerry); adoring grandmother of Catherine, Nolan, Aaron, Scarlett, Jaxon, Cameron, Annalise, and Killian; caring sister of Christopher Bartley (Jeannette) and George’s siblings, all of which held a special place in her heart.

Family and friends are invited to Sandy’s Visitation from 6:00-8:00 PM on Sunday, August 30th at The Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA 19082, and 9:30-11:00 AM on Monday, August 31st at St. Bernadette of Lourdes Church, 1035 Turner Ave, Drexel Hill, PA 19026, followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM.
