Salvatore Nucifora, age 89, of Newtown Square, PA passed away on February 13, 2018.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of Cirino and Rose Nucifora. Salvatore served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Salvatore was a hairdresser for over 40 years in Delaware County as well as a Cosmetology State Board Examiner. He loved to build fountains and enjoyed gardening. Building dollhouses was instrumental in helping him to quit smoking! He also enjoyed drawing, driving in the country

especially to Lancaster County and New Hope - the Phillies and Eagles, and most all, he loved his grandchildren and family. Salvatore was a devout Catholic and served as a church usher for 30 years. He also was a 4th degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus. Salvatore was a charismatic, talented, honest and loving individual and will be deeply missed by all.
Salvatore was the beloved husband of Angelina M. (nee Calabrese) Nucifora, the loving father of Greg Nucifora (Bernadette), Debbie Stellabotte (Michael) and Marc Nucifora (Diane). He was the devoted grandfather of Meaghan, Ryan, Brendan, Erin, Deanna, Michael, Matthew and Andrew.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Mass on Wednesday, February 21, 2018, 10:30am at St. Anastasia Church, 3301 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA 19073. Interment private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Salvatore's memory to American Heart Association, 1617 John F. Kennedy Blvd., Suite 700, Philadelphia, PA 19103 would be appreciated.
