Ruth Ann Gleason

Ruth Ann Gleason, age 61, passed away on August 15, 2023 surrounded by family after a three-and-a-half year battle with Stage Four Breast Cancer. 

Ruth was born on November 5, 1961 in Plainfield, New Jersey to Richard and Jean Krueger. Ruth graduated from Souderton High School in 1980. She began a career in Graphic Design before starting a long career as an administrator at Pharmaceutical companies. 

Throughout her life Ruth participated in activities including marching band, cheerleading, and was an avid Philadelphia sports fan. In particular the Flyers and Eagles. In 1996, Ruth gave birth to her beloved daughter Sarah. Ruth had a special bond with her daughter. Together, they frequented movie theaters, concerts, Olive Garden, Broadway shows, and Disney World. Ruth and her family loved spending time at Ocean City, New Jersey. She especially loved visits to Shriver’s Taffy and Fudge, Johnson’s Popcorn, and Kohr’s Brothers ice cream.

In her downtime Ruth loved baking, especially around Christmas. It was common to see hundreds of cookies spread about the kitchen. When they weren’t out on their adventures Ruth enjoyed “girl time” with Sarah and their dog Daisy where they would cuddle and watch TV/movies together. 

Ruth is survived by her loving husband John Gleason; her daughter Sarah Gleason  (fiancé James Baldridge); and fur-daughter Daisy; siblings Dave (Stacy) Krueger, Paul Krueger, Mark (Bridgette) Krueger; her sister-in-law Gail Krueger.  She was predeceased by her father, Richard; mother, Jean; and brother Richard Krueger.

Relatives and friends are invited to Ruth's viewing Wednesday, August 23 at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, 40 Spring Mt. Rd., Schwenksville, Pa. from 10:00 AM to 11:15 AM, followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:30 AM.  Interment Private. The Funeral Mass will be livestreamed here: https://vimeo.com/event/2331998
