Rosemary F. Kennedy

Rosemary Kennedy, 81, of Exton, PA passed away peacefully on June 16, 2024 surrounded by family.

Born June 12, 1943 in Philadelphia, PA, she was a daughter of the late John E. And Rosemary (née Barber) Kennedy.

She attended Most Blessed Sacrament grade school and graduated from West Philadelphia Catholic Girls High School in 1961. She entered Nursing School at Philadelphia General Hospital graduating in 1964.

She entered the Air Force and was stationed in Alabama and Michigan. In 1969 she was courageously deployed to Vietnam where she served in Dong Tam and Saigon. After leaving the service she attended Midwifery School at Kings County Hospital in New York. During her time as a midwife she delivered over 350 babies in California, South Carolina, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

Rosemary grew up spending her summers in Wildwood with her extended family. She loved to read especially mysteries. Rosemary’s love for Celtic history and family genealogy reflected her intellectual curiosity and deep respect for her heritage

Rosemary was the beloved sister of Barbara Chapman (Thomas) and adoring Aunt of Scott Chapman and Timothy Chapman. She was predeceased by her nephew Christopher Chapman.

She will be remembered for her kindness and her unwavering commitment to duty and country. May her memory live on eternally in the hearts of those who loved her.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Viewing 9:30 AM to 10:20 AM, Thursday June 20, 2024 at Ss. Philip and James Church, 723 Lincoln Hwy E, Exton, PA 19341, followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM. Interment at Westminster Cemetery, Bala Cynwyd.
