Rosemarie Duane

September 16, 1944 — May 29, 2018

Rosemarie J. Duane, of West Goshen, Pennsylvania, went home to be with the Lord on May 29, 2018 with her family by her side at Neighborhood Hospice in West Chester, PA.

She was born in September, 1944 in New York to Lillian and Harold Santangelo.



She attended New Rochelle High School in New Rochelle, NY where she met George H. Duane Sr.

After graduation, she and her soulmate were married on June 6, 1964 and were blessed with 54 years of marriage.

In the summer of 1965, she gave birth to her first child Kevin D. Duane and to her second George H. Duane Jr, in the fall of 1968.

She was completely devoted to her husband and the love of her children and that devotion was unending.

Rosemarie was well known to consistently put the needs of others before her own and she was blessed with a loving family.



In addition to her husband and sons, she is survived by two daughters-in-law, Alice C. Duane and Tamira P. Duane; her grandchildren, who were the joy of her life, Christopher M. Duane and David C. Duane of Coatesville, PA, Kaitlyn E. Duane, Emily R. Duane, and Tyler G. Duane of Coatesville, PA and Kayla, Brittney, Brianna, and Annalise, all of Coatesville, PA and one great-granddaughter, Maylani Noel; and her three sisters, Fran Trichilo, JoAnne Santangelo, and Toni Santangelo, all of New York.

Rosemarie enjoyed spending time with her many friends at SS Simon and Jude as well as visiting with the Sisters at Camilla Hall.

She also enjoyed volunteering her time assisting others in need.

She loved summers in Brigantine at the Jersey shore and enjoyed traveling and cruises.
