Rose Beech

December 10, 1971 — July 16, 2018

Rose Beech (Byrne) Oldest daughter of Michael and Loretta Byrne, Roseanne was born December 10, 1971. Rose was first born beloved grandchild of Vincent and Rose Bonina (maternal grandparents) and one of the many grandchildren of her paternal grandparents, Joseph and Dorothy Byrne. Rose and her family were devoted to each other. Michael and Loretta were always there to help and support Rose; they adored and admired her. Rose was big sister to Denise Byrne with whom she shared a deep connection and loving relationship. She was sweet Aunt Rose to Robert, Denise's son, whom she loved deeply. Rose was raised in Darby, PA and attended Blessed Virgin Mary grade school and Ridley Township high school, class of 1989. An excellent student, Rose loved learning; she participated in school activities and was popular with everyone for her warm and charming personality. She celebrated birthdays and holidays with her parents, her sister Denise, nephew Robert, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins; there was always a party with her big, loving family. Rose married James Beech in 1995 on a scorching day in July- the Scottish groom wore a kilt; Rose was beautiful in white and filled with joy. Always intrigued with the city, James and Rose moved to Philadelphia and enjoyed the color and excitement of life on South Street. After some time, Rose and James parted as friends and Rose began searching for her next path of discovery. Rose soon confronted an addiction which began a journey of recovery and a personal program of devotion to sobriety and to helping other. She turned to education and progressed over a few years to achieve an Associate Degree from Philadelphia Community College, then a Bachelor's Degree in Behavior Health Counseling from Drexel University, and finally, a Master's Degree from the University of Pennsylvania, class of 2015, in Mental Health Counseling, Rose progressed from an Intern graduate student at Rehab After Work to a fulltime employee from June of 2015 until her passing. She focused all her energy and spare time on helping others recover from addiction. Her death is a terrible loss for her family who loved and admired her and for friends and clients who sought her counsel. Rose never judged anyone, so people were drawn to her. She will always be remembered for how she treated others, her beautiful smile, her ability to see humor in all things, her intellect, her strength and her determination. We will grieve her forever.
