In Loving Memory of Ronald Lawrence Powell of Rutledge Pennsylvania,

Ronald L. Powell, a beloved husband, father, and pillar of his family, passed away on January 18, 2024, at the age of 79. His departure leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Ronald was born on August 2, 1944, and grew up to be a compassionate and caring husband, father and friend. Throughout his life, he exhibited unwavering love and devotion to his family, particularly to his cherished wife, Kathleen, and their five children.

As a loving husband, Ronald shared a lifetime of precious moments with Kathleen. Their journey together was marked by countless joys, challenges, and the enduring strength that comes from a bond built on love and commitment. Ronald's devotion to Kathleen was a shining example of a partnership that weathered the tests of time.

Ronald was not only a dedicated husband but also a loving father to his five children. His paternal guidance, warmth, and support created a nurturing environment that allowed each child to flourish in their own unique ways. Ronald's legacy lives on through the values he instilled in his children, creating a lasting impact on generations to come.

Beyond his role as a family man, Ronald was a proud veteran of the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged.

Ronald worked at the Philadelphia Electric Company and retired as a carpenter.  He touched the lives of many with his kindness, generosity, and genuine spirit.

Ronald was born in Media, Delaware County and attended Penncrest High School and graduated in 1962.  He was a great baseball player and his love of the game continued throughout his life as a Philadelphia Phillies Fan.  He loved sports of all kinds.  He liked playing golf, tennis and horseshoes.

Ronald resided in the Borough of Rutledge where he raised his children in a single family home filled with love and support.  He enjoyed the Borough and the great sense of community.  After his retirement from PECO he worked part time as the Borough care taker and could be seen driving through the Borough with his beloved rottweilers Sam and Niko

In his 79 years, Ronald left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. As we bid farewell to this remarkable man, we find solace in the memories of the joy, love, and laughter he brought into our lives.

Ronald L. Powell is survived by his loving children and their spouses, Lloyd and Jennifer Maslin, Teresa and William Haseltine, Neil Maslin, Timothy and Patricia Boukouris and Kimberlee and Roger Kammerdeiner.  Ronald had sixteen grandchildren (Teray, Michael, Lloyd, James, Anthony, Amanda, Christina, Maria, Francesca, Brandon, Derek, Timothy, Kaitlyn, Brendan, Meghan, and Molly) and nine great grandchildren (Luná, Finn, Kai, Dean, Julian, Zoi, Reily, Reese and Levi).  In honoring his memory, let us celebrate a life well-lived and a legacy that will continue to inspire and uplift those who carry his spirit forward.
