1928 Ramsey 2025

Romeo Gabriel DiLibero

December 1, 1928 — September 17, 2025

Ramsey G. DiLibero, a devoted father, mentor, and man of faith, passed away on September 17, 2025 at the age of 96. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Virginia “Ginny” (nee Mucha), with whom he shared a lifetime of love, partnership, and family.

Born December 1, 1928 in Barre, MA, he was a son of the late Frederico and Elvira (nee Salvadore) DiLibero. He served honorably in both the U.S. Army and the U.S. Air Force.

Ramsey’s professional life was marked by extraordinary achievement and global reach. As a respected executive in the waste management industry, he rose to become President of BFI International, a role that took him around the world and allowed him to build enduring friendships and business relationships across many countries. Following his retirement, he continued to serve his community with distinction as Vice Chairman of the Chester County Solid Waste Authority, contributing his expertise to initiatives that left a lasting impact on the region. His pioneering work in the development of safer, environmentally responsible landfills earned him recognition in the Environmental Engineering Hall of Fame, a testament to his commitment to protecting the environment for future generations.

A man of deep faith and integrity, Ramsey was more than a leader in his field—he was a mentor and trusted friend to many, always ready with encouragement, wisdom, and generosity of spirit.

Outside of his professional accomplishments, Ramsey found joy in the skies. He was an avid private pilot who nurtured a lifelong passion for aviation, with his last flight as pilot in command was at the age of 90, which reflected his adventurous spirit and love of freedom.

Above all, Ramsey was dedicated to his family. He was the proud and loving father of four children: Randall DiLibero (Rita), Barry DiLibero (Teri), and Darlene Kellner (the late Don) and the late Darrell DiLibero. He thoroughly loved and enjoyed his grandchildren Grant DiLibero (Arpi), Brandon DiLibero, Anthony DiLibero, and Vincent DiLibero and took special joy in his six great grandchildren, Zara, Armen, Anoush, Rocco, Daisy and Sonny. He is survived by his brothers Ralph DiLibero, sister Margie Ford and brother Fred DiLibero (Diane). He was predeceased his siblings: Marian Petruccelli, Ann Peyton, and Nora Sykes. He had loving caregivers Annie and June. His legacy of devotion, strength, and kindness will continue to live on in their lives and in the lives of all who were fortunate enough to know him.

A man whose presence filled both boardrooms and family gatherings with warmth and purpose, Ramsey G. DiLibero will be remembered with deep gratitude and love.
