Roger S. Crump, Jr.

Roger (Skip) S. Crump, Jr., 60, of West Chester, PA, passed away December 21, 2022.

Born September 7, 1962 in Baltimore, MD, he was a son of Roger S. Crump, Sr. and the late Dorothea (nee Sultaire) Crump.

Skip was a graduate of Great Valley High School (1981).  He went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree from Salisbury State College (1985).  Skip worked in the insurance industry as an insurance and private investigator.

Skip grew up with a love for the water.  After graduating high school, he joined the United States Coast Guard Reserves.  He was called up to active duty during Desert Storm and then continued in the reserves until 1996.  Skip was also a huge Philadelphia sports fan, especially loving the Eagles.  He was ecstatic to be able to see The Birds win Super Bowl LII. Skip traveled a lot with his job, but truly enjoyed traveling with friends and family all across the United States.  Even with all the travel, Skip’s favorite place to visit was the family home in Fenwick Island, Delaware.

Skip was the beloved husband of Pamela A. (nee Gibbs) Crump; loving father of Roger “Trey” S. Crump, III and Travis F. Crump; dear brother of Greg A. Crump (Sue), Laura A. Crump (Craig), and Brian J. Crump (Megan); and caring uncle of Lauren, Jenna, Rebecca, and Justin. He will also be dearly missed by his dog, Margarita.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Celebration of Life Monday, January 16, 2023 at 10:00 AM at The Donohue Funeral Home, 1627 West Chester Pike, West Chester, PA 19382.
