Robert B. Speers, Sr.

Robert B. Speers, Sr., 91, of West Chester, PA, passed away November 1, 2022.

Born August 29, 1931 in Philadelphia, PA, he was a son of the late Stewart and Dorothy (nee Benson) Speers. He served honorably in the U.S. Army.

He attended Upper Darby High School and graduated from Westminster College with a business degree and there he met his precious wife of 67 years.

Bob enjoyed gardening/farming, singing, playing the piano, traveling, wood working, following college wrestling, and vacationing at Camp of the Woods in the Adirondacks. He enthusiastically attended grandchildren's sporting events and musical performances. Through the years he faithfully attended and served at Malvern Bible Chapel, Goshen Baptist and Christ Community Church.

Robert was the beloved husband of Becky (nee Wulk) Speers; loving father of Karen Irwin (Bryan), Robert B. Speers, Jr. (Kande nee Dando), Joanne Russell (Dan), and Timothy Speers (Betsy nee Potter); adoring grandfather of Brett Irwin, Danielle Miller, Christie Kriza, Brooke Weatherby, Robert B. Speers, III “Trey”, Dando Speers, Luke Speers, Melinda Quinn, Tyler Russell, Ryan Russell, Connor Russell, Annabelle Speers, Sarah Speers, and Timothy Speers, Jr.; proud great-grandfather of 16 children; and caring brother of Richard Speers (Debbie). He was predeceased by his brother, Stewart Speers, and his sister, Elaine Schafer.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM, Saturday, November 12 at Goshen Baptist Church, 1451 West Chester Pike, West Chester, PA 19382, followed by his Memorial Service at 3:00 PM. Private family burial.
