Robert F. "Bob" Smoll, Jr.

Robert "Bob" Smoll, Jr., age 78, of West Chester, PA, passed away on September 25, 2026.

Born in Darby, PA in 1948, he was the son of the late Robert F., Sr., and M. Jean (nee Morrison) Smoll. He served honorably in the US Army in Vietnam, then earned his Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Drexel University. After working at varying companies, he retired from Mars Electronics International (MEI).

Bob loved spending time with family and friends where he would share his passion for sports, music, fishing, and hiking the great outdoors. He was known to many for his sense of humor, which he could bring out in any situation. He enjoyed tending to his garden and watching it grow. But most of all, Bob loved his family and friends.

Bob was the beloved husband of 36 years of Christine L. (nee Smith) Smoll; loving father of Tammy McCauley (Bryan), Meredith Jiranek, Joe Gombarick (Laura), Heather Smoll-Romanowicz (Michael), and Jeff Smoll; caring grandfather of Joey (JG III), Julia, Genevieve, Jocelyn, Anna, Emmaline, Cora, Evelyn, Stella, and Zinnia; dear brother of Rick Smoll (Neva) and Nancy Kenney (Larry).

Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation 10:00-11:30 AM Friday, October 2, 2026 at The Donohue Funeral Home, 1627 West Chester Pike, West Chester, PA 19382, 610-431-9000, followed by his Funeral Service at 11:30 AM. Interment private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial trees or contributions to the American Lung Association would be appreciated.
