SCHULZ - Robert Eugene (Bob) of Media, PA and Seaside Park, NJ passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 27th in Philadelphia, PA.

Born June 28th, 1937 in Bay Ridge, NY, to the late Clara and Eugene Schulz, Bob was raised in Bayside, Queens. He graduated with the class of 1959 at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute where he was a member and president of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity, and received his MBA from the City College of New York.

Trained as a Chemical Engineer, Bob was drawn to the marketing side of the plastics compounding industry.

He began his career at Celanese Corporation, and then joined LNP Corporation in Malvern, PA as an account manager in 1966.

In 1991 he was named President and CEO, and under Bob's leadership, LNP became a global leader in Engineering Thermoplastic Compounds with plants in the U.S., Latin America, Europe, and Asia.

In addition to his leadership, Bob will be remembered for his generous support of others. An exceptional mentor, generous philanthropist, and loyal friend, Bob was also active in the Springton Lake Village, where he resided, serving as president of the organization twice.

Bob was a lover of cars, beaches, old film noir movies, and of travel; after his 2003 retirement, Bob traveled frequently and extensively.

Always active, fit, and full of energy, he was a long-time member of the Merion Cricket Club in Haverford, PA.

Bob is survived by his sons Brian (Mate Converse) of Wellesley, MA and Gregory (Lena Bodos) of Reading, MA, former spouse Karen Grans Schulz, and longtime companion Gail Wheeler of New York City.

He was recently preceded in death by his only sibling, Elizabeth Ann Donohue of Arlington, VA.

Bob was grandfather to Liddy, 16, Roby, 14, and Michael, 8, who enjoyed many summers with "Grandpa" at his beloved beach house in Seaside Park, New Jersey.
