Robert B. Mulhern

Robert B. Mulhern, age 97, of Media, PA, passed away peacefully on October 10, 2022.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Owen F. and Mary A. (née Barry) Mulhern.

Bob attended St. Joseph’s Prep graduating in 1943. He joined the U.S. Navy and served proudly during World War ll. Upon his discharge from the Navy, Bob attended Widener University graduating in 1950.

Bob was a devoted member of Annunciation BVM, St. Andrew's and St. Mary Magdalen parishes, and was a member of the Third Order of St. Francis for 75 years.  Bob loved and followed all sports, especially basketball, and enjoyed attending his children's and grandchildren's games.  He was an insurance manager his entire career, and in addition to his day job, started his own legal photography business.

Bob was the beloved husband of 70 years of the late Elizabeth E. (née Meehan) Mulhern; and loving father of Mary Ellen Mulhern, Robert B. Mulhern, Jr. (Mary Patricia), Elizabeth Portland (John), Patricia Loughran (John), Francis Mulhern (Barbara), Ann Driscoll (Robert), Margaret Mulhern (Gregory Martinez), Paul Mulhern (Natasha), Joan Naehr (Gregory), and Kathryn Mulhern.  He was the proud grandfather of 21; and great-grandfather of 9. Bob was predeceased by his siblings: Owen Mulhern, Philip Mulhern, and Sr. Mary Owen IHM.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation 9:30 – 10:30 AM, Saturday, October 15, 2022, at St. Mary Magdalen Church, 2400 N. Providence Rd., Media, PA 19063, followed by his Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM. Interment SS Peter & Paul Cemetery.
