Robert R. Harshaw

Robert R. “Bob” Harshaw III, or Dever as most knew him, 70, West Chester, PA, passed away January 6, 2024.

Bob was born on March 24, 1953 in Bryn Mawr, PA, he was a son of the late Robert R. and Wilma (nee Packer) Harshaw Jr.

Bob was the “Chevy” man.  He had a great passion for classic cars, racing and just simply cruising.  If Bob wasn’t driving those cars, he was under the hood fixing them.  “Everyone’s Mechanic!”  He really enjoyed music especially fond of the oldies from Motown.  He knew and sang every word, even had all the dance moves to go along with them!  

For almost forty years, Bob “Lover Bucket” was the beloved significant other of Linda M. DeHaven his “Flower”; loving father of Matthew J. Harshaw and his bonus family the Rhodes children.  He was the adoring Pop Pop of Kameryn, Keira, Sean, Jonathan, and Charlie; the dear brother of Robin H. Simes (the late Barry Sr.) and caring uncle of Traci Senn Iding, Arthur G. Senn Jr. (Kendra), great uncle to Emerald, Lily, Asher, Willow, Matilda and Arthur III. He will also be dearly missed by his dog, Auggie. 

Bob was predeceased by his brother, Jack and sister in law Mary. 

Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing and Service on January 17^th, 2024 from 10am to 11:30am at The Donohue Funeral Home at 43 West Lancaster Avenue, Downingtown, PA 19335.  Interment immediately following at Green Mount Cemetery, 117 Westtown Road, West Chester, PA 19380.  Please join us for a luncheon to Celebrate his Life at the VFW Post 106 at 837 Lincoln Avenue, West Chester, PA 19380.
