Robert Taylor

Robert E. “Bob” Taylor, 82, of West Chester, PA, passed away on March 2, 2021.

Born in Philadelphia, PA in 1938, he was the son of the late James H. and Althea (nee Martin) Taylor. Robert was an active member of the Sons of Norway. He enjoyed traveling to many locations, listening to ”Doo Wop music,” cars, and motorcycles. Bob volunteered as the director of civil defense for Bethel Township. He retired from General Electric after 43 years of service.

Bob was the beloved husband of Marilyn K. (nee Reed) Taylor; loving father of Kimberly Cloud (Bill), Sherry Taylor, Scott Taylor, Lisa Kolb (Peter), Erik Taylor, Marnie Murrin (Roger), and Doug Olesh; caring "Poppy" of his grandchildren, Heather Grance (Ben), Erika Keller (Kyle), Katie Cloud, Taylor Kolb, Cody Taylor, Hunter Taylor, Amanda Taylor, Lexi Murrin, Brooke Murrin, and Lacey Taylor and great-grandchild, Caden Keller; predeceased by his stepson Jeff Olesh and his brother, James Taylor.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation 12-2 PM Thursday, March 11, 2021 at Advent Lutheran Church, 1601 Green Lane, West Chester, PA 19382.  Services and interment are private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, would be appreciated.
