Born in 1930 in Philadelphia, Bob was a lifetime “Hawk”, having graduated from St Joseph Prep in 1948 and later from St Joseph University in 1952. After college Bob went to serve in the Armed Forces during the Korean War, and then went on to work as an Industrial Engineer at Philadelphia Electric Company until his retirement in 1992.
After retirement Bob traveled the world with his closest family & friends, and split his time between Villanova, South Jersey Shore and Naples, FL.
In his downtime Bob was a staple at Overbrook Golf Club, where his love of life, golf, friends and of course talking was always on full display in the famous Men’s Backroom. It is at Overbrook where one of Bob’s proudest achievements occurred when he became the first and only person to have a Hole-in-One on the Par 4th 18th Hole, a story he loves to tell the younger big time hitters at the club.
On July 7th 2021 Heaven got a little louder and although we will miss him every day his memories and “stories” will live on forever.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation, Monday, July 12th 2021 9:30-11:00 AM at St. John Neumann Parish, 380 Highland Lane Bryn Mawr, PA 19010, followed by his Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM.
