Richard Venuti, Jr.

Richard Edward “Richie” Venuti, Jr., age 54, of Upper Darby, PA, passed away suddenly on December 7, 2021.   Born in Drexel Hill, PA, he was the son of Richard E. Venuti, Sr. and the late Nadine Venuti (nee LaSpada).

Richie was a graduate of Saint Joseph’s University and Monsignor Bonner High School in Drexel Hill, PA.  He had been employed as a Procurement Manager and Senior Buyer in the Maritime industry for over 30 years. He loved walking and hiking, drawing and writing. He assisted at St. Laurence Church as a lector and Eucharistic Minister.

In addition to his father, Richie is survived by his brother, Steven Venuti. He will be missed by his aunt and uncles Peter R. Venuti, Jr. (Muriel), Catherine Duffy (Robert) and Gary LaSpada and many loving cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit the family on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 6:00-8:00 PM and Wednesday, December 15, 2021 9:00-10:00 AM at The Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 West Chester Pike (cor. Lynn Blvd.), Upper Darby, PA (610) 449-0300 and to his Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM at St. Laurence Lower Church, 8245 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA.  Interment SS Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
