Richard P. Unger, age 83, of Drexel Hill, PA, passed away on June 26, 2013. Born in Drexel Hill, he was the son of the late Siegfried and Elizabeth Unger (nee Perum). Mr. Unger was a graduate of Upper Darby High School. He was employed as a Field Engineer/Manager for Bell of PA for 42 years, retiring in 1992.
He is survived by his children Stephen Unger, Janine (Steve) McLaverty, Elise Scully, Suzann (Jack) McCann, Kristin (Jere) Moyer and Stephen Unger, his 9 grandchildren and his sisters Eleanor Smith and Janet (Preston) King. He was predeceased by his wife Julia M. Unger (nee Mannella).
Relatives and friends are invited to visit the family Saturday, July 20, 2013 9:30-10:50 AM The Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 West Chester Pike (cor. Lynn Blvd.), Upper Darby, PA (610) 449-0300 followed by his Memorial Service at 11:00 AM. Interment SS Peter & Paul Cemetery.
