Richard L. Betts, 86, passed away quietly on November 28th at his home in Malvern, surrounded by family. He is survived by his loving wife and devoted partner of 65 years, Linda (Batchelor), and their three children, Dawn, Robin (Steve), and John (Terri). Mr. Betts is the beloved grandfather of Christopher, Andrew, and Kristin. He is predeceased by his brother, James F. Betts, formerly of Richmond, Virginia.
Mr. Betts devoted his life to the service of others through his work and ministry in the United Methodist Church, and later his executive leadership roles with the YMCA in both Chicago and Philadelphia, and his successful founding of the Carebridge Corporation in the early 1990s.
Mr. Betts has always been an intrepid student of theology, driven by strong faith and a desire to serve. He has been a dedicated parishioner at St. Isaac Jogues Parish for more than a decade.
Friends and family are invited to a visitation and celebration of his life on Monday, December 6, 2021 from 5:00-7:00 PM at The Donohue Funeral Home at 366 W. Lancaster Avenue, in Wayne. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Isaac Jogues Parish, 50 W. Walker Road, Wayne, at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, December 7, 2021.
