Richard (Dick) Nieberle of White Horse Village, Newtown Square, PA, and a former resident of West Chester for 58 years, passed away on March 21, 2025, at White Horse Village. He was 83. Born July 10, 1941, in Pensacola, Fl, he was the son of the late Carl F. and Lea (nee Kinkaide) Nieberle.
Dick graduated from Springfield High School in 1959, and from Lehigh University in 1963 with a B.S. degree in Engineering. He then began his 33-year career with the Philadelphia Electric Company as an Engineer and Major Industrial Account Representative.
Throughout his life Dick enjoyed reading, golfing with his friends from work, his neighbors and his three sons, and playing in the neighborhood poker group. He loved the annual family vacations in Sea Isla City, NJ, especially enjoying the late afternoons at the beach, reading his spy thriller novels, the bridge column, doing the crossword puzzle and playing bocce with his sons and grandchildren. He was affectionately known by his grandkids as “Pop”.
His most favorite past time was helping coach Little League and watching his sons and grandson play baseball in Little League and high school. He never missed a game.
Dick was a life-long member of Christ Community Church where he belonged to the Tuesday morning Men’s Bible Study. He made the coffee and brought the donuts each week. He also filled thousands of communion cups over the years, and more recently enjoyed being a greeter on Sunday mornings.
Dick and his wife, Pat, took many wonderful trips to California, Oregon, Italy, France, Switzerland, Austria, and Germany.
Dick was the beloved husband of Patricia Ann (nee Baker) Nieberle; loving father of Scott D. Nieberle (Melissa), Gregory A. Nieberle (Shannon), and Gary M. Nieberle (Megan); and proud grandfather of Grace, August, Ryann, Jamie, Leah, Allison, and Finnegan. He was predeceased by his brother, Carl F. Nieberle, in 2023.
