Rebecca F. Cairns

Rebecca F. Cairns (née Finley), age 70, of Springfield, PA, passed away on March 16, 2024. 

She was born in Hinsdale, IL, to the late Robert A. and Jane (née Cline) Finley. 

Rebecca dedicated her life to the field of nursing, having earned a BA in Science Nursing from West Virginia Wesleyan College and an MS in Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania.  She was a renowned critical care nurse and research nursing professional.  Rebecca will always be remembered for her commitment to providing exceptional nursing care and for her contributions to nursing research. Her legacy will continue to inspire future generations of nurses.

Known for her unwavering dedication as a mother, Rebecca cherished her family above all else. Her love extended beyond her family to include a passion for birds and flowers, which brought her immense joy and peace.

Rebecca was the beloved wife of Scott S. Cairns; the loving mother of Robert Cairns, Thomas Cairns, his wife Casey, and Danielle Cairns.  Rebecca was the caring and devoted grandmother of Skylar, Riley, Logan, and Travis.  She is also survived by her siblings, Ann Martin and Robert Finley. Rebecca is predeceased by her dear grandchildren, Bailey and Dakota.

Services will be held privately.
