Raymond Brown

Raymond J.  “Ray” Brown, age 80, of Media, PA, passed away on June 4, 2020.  Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Patrick and Mary Brown (nee McSwiggan).

Ray grew up in West Philadelphia and enjoyed good times with his friends “The Happy Creatures”.  Ray was a 1957 graduate of West Catholic Boys High School in Philadelphia.   He was inducted into the West Catholic High School Sports Hall of Fame for Basketball in 2011.

Ray enjoyed tennis and golf and was very competitive.  He was an avid reader and researcher.

He was a veteran of the United States Army.  He was retired from the Philadelphia Police Department as a Lieutenant.

Raymond was predeceased by his beloved wife, Joan Brown (nee Stewart).  Brother of Anne M. Farrell and the late James Brown.  Also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.

Services and interment are private due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
