Phillip M. “Phil” McGee, of Broomall, PA, passed away on October 31, 2026, at the age of 78. He lived a life marked by service, hard work, and deep devotion to those he loved most.
Born in Folcroft, PA, he was the son of the late Eugene J. and Helen (née McCloskey) McGee.
Phil proudly served as a Marine in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. His commitment to his country reflected the strength, discipline, and sense of duty that remained with him throughout his life.
Phil worked as a mechanic for Westinghouse Electric Company, where he applied his skill and dedication over the course of his career. Outside of work, he found enjoyment in simple and meaningful pleasures. He played adult softball in the outfield, and he especially loved trips to West Wildwood, New Jersey. Above all else, Phillip loved his family dearly, and his grandchildren held a particularly special place in his heart.
Phil was the beloved husband of the late Anne Mary “Anna Mae” (née Dunphy) McGee; the loving father of Theresa McGough (Tony), Shannon Buchanan (Jim), and the late Phillip J. McGee, Colleen McGee and Megan Elizabeth McGee. He was the proud grandfather of Synthia, Lauran, Meghan, Patrick, Megan, Liam, Lucas, and Jimmy. He is predeceased by his siblings, Ann Fries, Gene McGee, and Jerry McGee.
Services to honor Phil will take place on Wednesday, November 11, 2026, beginning with a Visitation, 9:30 to 10:30 AM and followed by a Funeral Service at 10:30 AM at The Donohue Funeral Home, 3300 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA 19073. Interment thereafter at Holy Cross Cemetery, Yeadon, PA.
