Paul Vincent Turner Sr., a man of many names and even more stories, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2024 at the age of 79.
Born in 1945, Paul wore many hats throughout his life – son, brother, husband, father, grandfather (Grandpop or Pop-pop to some), friend, and yes, even the occasional "hateful bastard" as he'd playfully admit.
Paul served his country proudly in the Navy aboard the USS Sea Leopard (SS-483), a Tench-class submarine. His Navy buddies knew him as "PV," a charismatic jokester with an uncanny ability to get a laugh (or a groan) out of anyone.
He was a man who loved the open road, navigating life with an uncanny sense of direction, with his internal compass. His life wasn't always smooth sailing, but he weathered every storm with wit and a mischievous twinkle in his eye. He wouldn't hesitate to "bust your stones," but you always knew he'd give you the shirt off his back if needed. BZ, PV, well done.
Paul is survived by his devoted wife, Judith; sons, Peter Sr (Michelle) and Paul Jr(Beth); four grandsons, Peter II, Thomas, Paul III and Dominic; his sister, Linda (Joseph) Albany; and many loving nieces and nephews.
He leaves behind a legacy of laughter, a touch of exasperation, and a whole lot of love.
Please share your memories of Paul in the online guestbook.
The Services and Interment will be private.
