Paul Oman

Paul Oman, age 92, of Media, PA, sadly passed away on November 1, 2024.

 Born in Gjirokastra, Albania, he was the son of the late Shemsy and Nimet (née Zazan) Oman.

Paul led an acclaimed career as a professional trumpet player, touching the lives of many with his profound ability to connect through melody and rhythm. He had been the principal trumpet in the Houston Symphony and the New Orleans Philharmonic, and numerous Broadway shows. He will be remembered not just for his musical achievements but also for the warmth and kindness he extended to his family, friends, fellow musicians, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. 

Paul was the beloved husband of Donna (née Dixon) Oman; the loving father of Perry Oman and dear step-father of Tabitha Hutton and David Shanies. He was the devoted grandfather to his grandchildren, Abigail Marie and Perry Samuel, as well as the caring step-grandfather to his step-grandchildren, Margaret and Clara. Paul is also survived by his brother, Bob Oman and his wife, Linda, and by his sister, Hodge Seit.  Paul was predeceased by his former spouse, Lyria (née Franco) Oman. 

 Services and interment for Paul will be held privately.
