Paul E. Kingsley, 98, of Glen Mills, Pennsylvania, passed away on October 8, 2026.

Born on November 26, 1927, in Franklin, Pennsylvania, Paul was the son of the late John Donald Kingsley and Hazel (Sloan) Kingsley.

Paul was a graduate of Interboro High School (1945), and Temple University (1951).

Following his high school graduation, Paul enlisted in the United States Navy to serve in World War 2, Pacific Theater. He served on the USS Moale, DD-963 and supported the Lighter Than Air Program at Moffet Naval Air Station, performing coastal reconnaissance.

After his honorable discharge from the Navy on August 9, 1946, Paul worked at ARCO until deciding to enroll at Temple University to obtain a college degree in Business Administration. Upon graduating from Temple University, he began a long career at Girard Bank (now BNY Mellon), where he held a senior position as executive vice president. Following his retirement from Girard Bank in 1982, Paul accepted a senior management position at Wilmington Trust bank where he continued to work for ten more years.

During his time at Girard Bank, Paul met the love of his life, Claire. They married in 1958 and built their family on Russell Street in Ridley Park, where they formed lasting friendships that would remain an important part of their lives for years to come.

In retirement, Paul devoted time to his family, attending his grandchildren’s events, working on his garden in Wallingford, PA, and golfing with his lifelong friends. Paul was an avid reader, Sudoku expert, and a huge Villanova basketball fan. During retirement, Paul and Claire enjoyed spending their winters in Florida and travelled to many other beautiful destinations.

Paul is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Claire Rita; his children, Elizabeth (Bernie) Krieg and Joseph (Melanie) Kingsley; his ten grandchildren, Bryan Kingsley, Kristen Kingsley (Joseph Billingley), Kathleen (PJ) Taylor, Megan Krieg, Elizabeth Krieg, Brian (Michele) Krieg, Austin Kingsley, Brett Kingsley, Abigail Kingsley and Shea Kingsley: his six great grandchildren Kaeden, Wren, Hayes, PJ, Liam, and Parker. He was preceded in death by his brother, James Kingsley, his son, Donald Kingsley, and his daughter in law Kathleen (Murphy) Kingsley.

A private family service will be held.
