Paul Edward Funkhouser

Paul Edward Funkhouser, of Broomall, PA, sadly passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at the age of 61, surrounded by his family, after suffering a massive stroke.

Paul is predeceased by his parents, John and Joan (née Migeot) Funkhouser, and his beloved brothers, John “Butchy” Funkhouser and David Funkhouser.

Paul is survived by his family who misses him dearly; his wife, Phyllis (née Ripp) Funkhouser; his daughters, Lauren Funkhouser and Danielle Funkhouser; his much loved sisters, Jan Migeot and Diane Funkhouser, as well as his many nieces and cousins. He is also remembered by his many friends.

Paul was a man of many qualities. He was an avid horse racing watcher, a Philly Sports fanatic, a betting king, a huge Flyers fan, and a generous soul. He loved traveling, adventure, and trying new foods. He happily enjoyed being retired after many years at UPS, and embraced his free time, reconnecting with family, and pursuing his passions. He was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed and cherished always.

Relatives and friends are invited to remember Paul at his services beginning with a Visitation on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM and to his Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM at St. Pius X Church, 220 Lawrence Road, Broomall, PA. Interment thereafter at SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.

In lieu of flowers, Paul's family asks that you honor his memory by planting a tree, enjoying quality time with your loved ones, or raising a glass of beer in his honor.
