Patrick J. "Packie" Meehan

Patrick “Packie” J. Meehan, age 89, of Havertown, PA passed away on May 26, 2024.  Born in Mountcharles, County Donegal, Ireland.

Patrick is survived by his loving daughters, Mary Jo Rafter (Daniel) and Eileen Carberry (Declan); 7 grandchildren, Patrick, Kathleen, Kerri, Bridgette, Cassie, Jenny and Allie; and his sister Lizzie Meehan (County Donegal). He was predeceased by his dear wife Bridget (nee McBride), his daughter Kathleen, and his siblings, Michael, Eileen (Kelleher), and Attie. 

Patrick enjoyed many fun activities, spending most of his time in Chincoteague Island, Virginia, boating, fishing, and crabbing.  He also enjoyed many camping trips to Ocean View and Spring Gulch Campground.

Later in his life, he enjoyed spending time at the American Legion, having a cold one and socializing with the members.

Relatives and friends are invited to Patrick’s viewing on Monday, June 3 from 8:30 AM to 10:15 AM followed by his Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM at St. Dorothy’s Church, 4910 Township Line Rd, Drexel Hill, PA. The Funeral Mass will be livestreamed here: St. Dorothy's Livestream Page Interment at SS Peter and Paul Cemetery, 1600 Sproul Road, Springfield, PA.
