Patricia "Patti" Menszak

Mar 6, 1961 — Sep 8, 2026

Patricia "Patti” Menszak, beloved wife, mother, daughter, friend and mentor, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on September 8th 2026 after a brief and aggressive battle with cancer, which she faced with remarkable strength and courage.

Patti was the beloved daughter of the late Fred and Helen Thomas, whose love and values helped shape the compassionate woman she became.

Patti is survived by her devoted husband of 42 years, Bruce; her children, David, Brian, Timothy, and Kelly; her daughters-in-law, Meghan and Morgan, and son-in-law, Nicholas; and her beloved grandchildren, Ryan and Paige, who held a particularly special place in her heart. Her greatest joy was bringing family together, creating traditions, and ensuring everyone was fed and felt loved and welcomed.

A graduate of Lansdale Catholic High School of 1979 of 1st honors, Patti continued her education at Temple University and Gwynedd Mercy University receiving her Bachelor’s Degree. Throughout her life, she embraced learning and dedicated herself to serving others with compassion, dignity, and unwavering commitment.

Patti devoted her professional life to helping those most in need through her work at AVS early in her career, till present with Don Guanella & Divine Providence. She was a passionate advocate for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and was especially proud of her role establishing off-campus group homes that provided opportunities for greater independence, inclusion, and meaningful lives for the men she lovingly referred to as her "Guys." The relationships she built and the lives she touched stand as a testament to her selfless dedication and generous spirit.

Above all else, Patti was the matriarch of her family. She expressed her love through countless acts of kindness, perhaps none more memorable than her cherished Sunday family dinners. She spent countless weekends planning, shopping, cooking, and preparing meals simply to bring the people she loved together. Around Patti’s table, stories were shared, laughter came easily, and lifelong memories were made—with a resounding “Go Birds!” during football season. Her kitchen was more than a place to prepare a meal; it was the heart of her home, filled with warmth, love, and a sense of belonging.

Patti will be remembered for a compassionate heart, unwavering strength, deep devotion to family, and a lifetime spent caring for others. The impact she made lives on through the family she cherished, the community she served, and the many lives made better simply by knowing her.

Though deeply missed, the love Patti gave so freely and the values she instilled in those around her will carry forward for generations.
