Patricia “Pat” Anne Ferguson, a beloved figure in her community and cherished matriarch of her family, passed away on November 17, 2025, at the age of 78. Born on June 22, 1947, Patricia was a devoted Catholic whose faith was a cornerstone of her life. A South Philly girl at heart, she carried the warmth and spirit of her upbringing throughout her days.
Pat embraced life with a passion for reading and an innate ability to connect with others. She forged friendships that lasted a lifetime, always welcoming new people into her heart. Her magnetic personality and genuine kindness made her a friend to all who crossed her path.
As a mother and grandmother, Patricia held an extraordinary place in the lives of her family. She is survived by her devoted daughter, Debra Kavalkovich (Ken), and her son, Steven Goldfarb (Linda). Patricia's legacy continues through her loving grandchildren, Alex (Selena), Anastasia (Colin), Brianna, Mia, Taylor, and Ryan, as well as her cherished great-grandchildren, Levi, Leila, and Vincent. Her family was her pride and joy, and she loved them more than anything.
Pat is also survived by her siblings: Edith Thompson, Veronica McCafferty, William Ashmore, Jr., and Joseph Ashmore. Together, they shared many memories and provided each other with love and support throughout the years.
Preceding Patricia in death are her parents, William and Anne Marie (nee Salomone) Ashmore, Sr., her son, Marc Ferguson, Sr. (Cynthia Santaguida), her grandson, Marc Ferguson, Jr. and her long-time companion, Vito V. Maturo.
Pat’s life was a tapestry woven with devotion to family, love for puzzles, and a fighting spirit that left a profound mark on all who knew her. She will be remembered for her remarkable warmth, humor, and unwavering support. As she takes her place among the angels, her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her dearly.
Relatives and friends are invited to Pat’s Funeral Mass on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at 10:30 AM at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 3422 Dennison Avenue, Drexel Hill, PA followed by her Interment at Fernwood Cemetery, Lansdowne, PA.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Patricia’s name to St. Jude Research Hospital – st.jude.org – would be greatly appreciated.
