Patricia Ellen Engelbrecht

Patricia Ellen “Pat” Engelbrecht, of Media, PA, a cherished pillar of her community, passed away on May 23, 2026 at the age of 77.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Willis and Edyth (née O’Neill) Manges.

Pat was a dedicated educator who devoted many years of her professional life to the Wallingford-Swarthmore School District, where she served as a Foreign Language Teacher. Throughout her career, Pat demonstrated a strong commitment to fostering language skills and cultural appreciation among her students. Her passion for teaching and her ability to inspire those around her were hallmarks of her professional journey.

Pat was the loving mother of David Engelbrecht (Jacqueline); the devoted and caring grandmother of two grandchildren, and the dear sister of Kathleen Kleponis. She is predeceased by her two brothers, Bill Manges and Jim Manges.

Family and friends are invited to greet the family at Pat’s Visitation on Monday, June 15, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at The Donohue Funeral Home, 3300 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA. Funeral Service and Interment will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Pat would be appreciated to Foundation for Wallingford-Swarthmore Schools, http://supportwssd.org/, to raise money for an outdoor classroom at Strath Haven Middle School.
