Patricia M. Burns, a distinguished woman of grace and accomplishment, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2026, at the age of 78.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Burns and Estelle Supreme.
Pat’s early education was shaped at St. Timothy’s Grade School and St. Hubert Catholic High School in Philadelphia, foundations that supported her in becoming the vibrant woman she was.
Her career was characterized by her time living in New York City attending The Fashion Institute of Technology, where she embraced the energy and excitement of the fashion world as a student and as a model. Harnessing her talents and entrepreneurial spirit, she later became the owner and operator of her own advertising and marketing agency, Pat Burns & Company. Her professional path continued with her role as VP/Account Director at the esteemed brand marketing agency, Thomas J. Paul Inc., where she was known for her client relationship skills and project strategy.
In retirement, Pat enjoyed a decade filled with love and companionship alongside her beloved partner, the late Daniel McNichol. Together, they cultivated a rich social life and found great joy in cherished moments spent at their residences in Wayne, Pennsylvania, the Jersey shore in Wildwood Crest, New Jersey, and Marco Island, Florida. The beach held a special place in Pat’s heart, serving as a haven of peace and happiness throughout her later years.
Pat is survived by her loving sister, Cyndee Humphreys, and her dear nephews, Cliff Humphreys and Sean Humphreys, as well as her many friends and associates. She is predeceased by her brother, Stephen Burns.
Family, friends, and all who knew Patricia are invited to honor her memory and legacy. Visitation will be 10:00-11:00 AM on Friday, April 3, 2026 at The Donohue Funeral Home, 3300 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA followed by her Funeral Service at 11:00 AM. Interment will be held privately.
These moments of remembrance will provide an opportunity to celebrate the remarkable life Pat led and the lasting impact she has left on those privileged to know her.
In lieu of flowers, and to recognize her previous bouts with cancer, contributions in Pat’s memory to Blood Cancer United (formerly known as Leukemia & Lymphoma Society), online at https://bloodcancerunited.org/ would be appreciated.
