GLENNON

 Pamela Marchese

Pamela M. Glennon, 73, of Ardmore, PA (formerly of Conshohocken and Upper Darby) passed on October 19, 2023.  Born in Philadelphia, PA Pamela was predeceased by her parents Philip C. Marchese, D.D.S. and Kathryn Marchese Schaefer.

Pamela is survived by her brother Philip C. Marchese, sisters Kathy M. Lange (Bill) and Donna M. Marchese; nephews William M. Lange (Alicia), Mark P. Lange (Krissy) and Philip A. Marchese (Katie) and her great nieces and nephews Casey, Will, Matt, Allie, Emily, Marc, Jake, Penny, Virginia and Eric.

Pam held a BS Mathematics / General Science Degree from Villanova (1972), a MS Environmental Engineering Degree from Villanova and a MS Health Management Degree from Saint Joseph University. (2002)

Pam was a social animal (Wildcat) always planning, volunteering and participating in events with her alums from St. Alice (1964), Archbishop Prendergast (1968), and Villanova University (1972) and later in life with her Jefferson Northeast work peers. Pam had many interests, talents, and networks; in Pam’s free time she would be found with her family members, attending her favorite athletic team events, and sorting through her many photos as she was always taking pictures.

Friends and family may have forgotten that Pam traveled in the 70’s to France and Switzerland and while there enjoyed her love of art museums.  Pam’s support of Villanova Football included attending the 2000 NFL Hall of Fame Induction weekend of Villanova’s Howie Long. Pam attended the 1976 Montreal Summer Olympics and the 1984 Los Angeles Summer Olympics.  One of Pam’s favorite groups that she stayed connected with, was the 1985 Villanova cheerleaders.  Pam was the Villanova campus monitor for the cheerleaders and traveled to all the Villanova Men’s Basketball games in seasons 1984-1986, and attended many NCAA rounds including the Final 1985 Championship.

Pam’s most treasured times were when volunteering and giving support to many of the 70”s & 80’s Villanova Men’s Cross Country and Track & Field teams. Her admiration of Jumbo Elliot and her connections to Track Alum gave her much happiness.  A track trivia, is that Pam was in the background cover of a Sports Illustrated from the Melrose Games when Eamon ran one of his many Wanamaker Mile’s; Pam can be seen on the bend of those famous banked boards with her camera in hand.

It was Pam’s wish that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in her name to: Villanova University Men’s Track and Field program, Villanova University, 800 Lancaster Ave., Villanova, PA 19085, Attention University Advancement. Donations may also be made on-line, in Pam’s name for Men’s Track & Field, at Villanova Annual Fund | Villanova University.
