Olympia G. Christensen

Olympia G. Christensen (née Yacobini), age 95, of West Grove, PA, passed away on June 16, 2024.

Born in West Philadelphia, PA in 1928, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Carmela (née Mincarini) Yacobini. 

Olympia was the beloved wife of the late Elmer P. Christensen; loving mother of Gladys T. DiCanio (Ronald) and Joy E. Sandefur (Ernest); caring grandmother of 15 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. 

She was predeceased by her children, Andrew Christensen and Donna M. Christensen; and her siblings, Theresa Fitzpatrick and Marie Cellucci.

Olympia was a volunteer for various community services over her lifetime. She loved her plants, reading, gardening, cooking and was a meticulous homemaker. She was devoted to her faith, as well as her family. Let's not forget, Olympia was a feisty, independent woman, but also very loving, and will be missed greatly.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation 10:00-11:00 AM Monday, June 24, 2024 at The Donohue Funeral Home, 43 W. Lancaster Avenue, Downingtown, PA 19335, 610-269-3080, followed by her Funeral Service at 11:00 AM. Interment SS Peter & Paul Cemetery.
