Nuala Blake

Nuala T. "Nu Nu" Blake (nee Keeney), age 83, of Wayne, PA, passed away on December 1, 2017. Born in Killybeggs, County Donegal, Ireland, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Mary Keeney (nee Byrne).



Nuala came to the United States from a small town in Killybeggs, Ireland to become a stewardess for Capitol Airlines. Not long after arriving in America, she met her future husband, Jim. They married and began a family and together they raised three children. Sadly, Jim passed away after 23 years of marriage. Nuala became an active member in the community volunteering for the Radnor Fire Department Auxiliary and was a member of the 6th Ward Republican Committee. In Nuala's later years, she became the center of her 8 grandchildren's lives.



Nuala was predeceased by her beloved husband, James Downey Blake and her siblings Sheila COwell, Paddy Keeney, Peggy Price and Molly Love. She is survived by her loving children Karen Blake Fox (Jim), Deb Massaro (Chaz) and James Blake (Joan), her dear grandchildren Matthew, Blake, Victoria, Nick, Nulee, Savanna, Chris and Tess and her sister, Annie Harvey.



Relatives and friends are invited to her Memorial Mass Friday, December 8, 2017 10:00 AM at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 35 Old Eagle School Road, Strafford, PA. Luncheon to follow Memorial Mass. Interment private.



In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory to the Melmark Charitable Foundation, 2600 Wayland Road, Berwyn, PA 19312 would be appreciated.
