Norman Ritterson, Jr.

Norman C. Ritterson, Jr. age 77, of Bryn Mawr, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on February 10, 2018.
Born in Chester, PA, he was the son of the late Norman C. and Catherine (nee Heacock) Ritterson. Norman graduated from Chichester High School in 1958 and received a bachelor's degree from Pennsylvania Military College ( now Widener) in 1962. Norman served his country honorably in the U.S. Army as a 2ND LT during the Vietnam Era posted to Orleans, France.
After serving in the military, Norman was employed with the Sun Oil Company for 35 years. Some of Norman's favorite hobbies included birding and making homemade candles for his family.
Norman was the beloved husband of Mary E Poste, loving father of Debbie Ritterson and Kelly Marvain (Sean), loving step-father of Ellie Poste Bernhisel (Brett), proud grandfather of 6 grandchildren and devoted great-grandfather of 1 great granddaughter. He is also survived by his dear sisters Arlene Purdham, Helena Reigner (Tom), and predeceased by his sister Joanie Heatley Thompson.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation, Saturday, February 17, 2018, 10:30-11:30 AM, at The Donohue Funeral Home, 3300 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA 19073, 610-353-6300, followed by his Memorial Service at 11:30 AM. Interment private.
In lieu of flowers contributions in Norman's memory to Wounded Warrior Project, 370 7th Avenue, 3rd Floor, Room 320, New York, NY 10001 would be appreciated.
