After living a century, Norma Mather of Newtown Square, PA recently passed away at the age of 100.
Norma began her life in Reading, PA and received her Bachelor’s Degree from Wells College in Aurora, NY. She was an avid reader who loved decorating, fashion, cross word puzzles, writing, and traveling. Norma was cherished for her warm personality, witty sense of humor, and bright intellect. Her Christian faith was important to her, inspired by her grandfather who was an ordained minister and college president. She was a longtime member of St. David’s Episcopal Church in Wayne, PA, which she fondly referred to as “the church in the vale.” Norma’s greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends.
Norma is survived by her two daughters and two stepdaughters, as well as her six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and sister-in-law. Norma is predeceased by her husband, the late Francis Alan “Frank” Mather, her son, and her brother.
Norma was beloved by all who knew her and will be dearly missed.
Services and interment will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Norma’s honor to St. David's Episcopal Church, 763 S. Valley Forge Road, Wayne, PA. 19087.
