NORMA CARRETTA

August 9, 1963 – August 1, 2021

All of us are mourning the loss of our dear friend Norma Carretta, who passed away on Sunday, August 1, 2021, at her home in West Chester, Pennsylvania. Norma was a courageous and determined woman who could light up a room with her radiant smile. She was strongly devoted to her family, her faith, and her friends. Her success as an executive in human resources and her sense of adventure led to many fabulous employment and travel opportunities.

Norma was pre-deceased by her mother, the late Lidia Cont Carretta and her life partner, the late Andrew Mason. She will be sorely missed by her father, Leonildo Carretta, her brother Bruno Carretta, her extended family in Ontario and Italy, as well as her many friends in Canada, the United States, Europe and Australia.

Norma’s wish was to be laid to rest in Canada.  Her funeral and burial will take place in Montreal on Saturday, August 28, 2021.

As we attempt to comprehend our lives without her and the irreplaceable void she left behind, we are blessed to have received some of life’s greatest gifts from Norma — true friendship, joy of life, wisdom and compassion. Those invaluable gifts will stay with us always, giving us strength and hope as we move forward.

Please join us for a Memorial which will take place on Saturday, September 18, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at SS. Simon and Jude Catholic Church, 8 Cavanaugh Court, West Chester, PA. The Funeral Mass will be livestreamed through SS Simon & Jude's Facebook page at 11 AM here: https://www.facebook.com/simonandjude/live_videos/ . It will be followed by a Celebration of Life luncheon.
