Nancy Beahm Peterson

Nancy Beahm Peterson, 73, of West Chester, PA, passed away February 19, 2026. 

Born March 31, 1952, in Abington, PA, she was a daughter of the late William “Ed” Edward and Ruth Schroeder Beahm, and predeceased by her sister, Janis Beahm McClelland.

Nancy was the beloved wife of J. David Peterson; dear aunt of Andrea McClelland Henley (Carlyle Barton); and proud great-aunt of Hayleigh and Bryce. 

Nancy graduated from Penn State University in 1974, with a B.S. in Mathematics, an achievement she carried with immense pride throughout her life. Her love for her alma mater never faded; she was the most dedicated PSU football fan, who stood steadfast through every season. To know Nancy was to know her love and loyalty for her Nittany Lions.

Following her graduation, Nancy built a remarkable 30-year career with Amtrak, working in offices at Suburban Station and then at 30th Street Station in Philadelphia. She was deeply proud of her work and most importantly, the friendships she gained from her years with Amtrak.

Above all, Nancy will be remembered for her extraordinary heart. She was one of the kindest people anyone could hope to meet — a dedicated and loyal friend who had a rare ability to befriend everyone. She was often the first to offer a positive word, compliment, or encouragement that could turn your entire day around. No matter the circumstances, Nancy chose optimism, grace, and kindness. She is a constant reminder to us to look for the good and to treat others with respect and generosity.

Nancy leaves behind a legacy of loyalty, kindness, and Penn State pride. She will be deeply missed, but forever remembered by her friends and loved ones whose lives are better because she was part of them.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Thursday, February 26, 2026 at Grove United Methodist Church, 490 Boot Rd, West Chester, PA 19380, followed by her Funeral Service at 11:00 AM.
