Nancy Guinan passed away peacefully on April 26, 2025 at her home in Phoenixville, PA. She grew up in Darby and Havertown graduating from Cardinal O’Hara High School in 1968 where she served as Class Treasurer. Nancy worked at Bell Telephone – later Verizon - for 35 years. While there, she continued her education and earned a B.A. in Human Performance Management from Immaculata University in May 1999. She retired from Verizon in 2003.
Nancy was deeply involved with numerous organizations and charities, forming many lifelong friendships along the way. Her contributions included volunteering with Big Sisters of America, the Verizon Pioneers, and serving as a teacher’s aide and Eucharistic Minister at St. Basil’s Parish in Phoenixville. However, one of Nancy's most cherished volunteer roles was with the Phoenixville Women’s Outreach - “The House” where she was known for her ever-engaging smile and unwavering willingness to help others.
To her family, she will always be Gorgeous Aunt Nancy. She was the connector of the family — always keeping in touch with nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended relatives. Her genuine concern for others’ wellbeing, boundless energy, and warm sense of humor made her a beloved presence to all who knew her.
Nancy is predeceased by her parents, William J. Guinan and Rose Marie Guinan (nee Goerlach), sister Peggy Guinan, brother Steve Guinan and nephew Mark Major. She leaves behind brothers Bill Guinan (Jacque), Mike Guinan (Roseann), Larry Guinan (Teresa), sister Chris Kelly (Mike), sister-in-law Linda Guinan, 16 nieces and nephews, 22 great-nieces and nephews as well as many extended family members.
