Robert Aloysius "Bob" Quinn, Jr., Age 75 of West Chester, PA, passed away on January 11, 2018.
Bob raised a family with Jacqueline (nee Clarke) Quinn and was the loving father of Sue Ellen Phillips (Chris), Terry Quinn (Kristen), Colm Quinn (Ali) and Megan Brennan (Steve); devoted grandfather of Christopher, Ali, Ben, Riley, Molly, Sean, Violet, Natalie, Christian and Parker; dear brother of Terry Quinn, Tom Quinn (Mary Pat), Rosemary Quinn and the late Jim Quinn and John Quinn; cherished brother-in-law to Mary Ann and an adoring uncle to his many nieces and nephews.
Born in Northeast Philadelphia in 1942, he was the son of the late Robert Aloysius and Rose Marie (nee Woods) Quinn. Bob remained a resident of the Philadelphia area throughout his life.
Bob attended Father Judge High School and remained a "Crusader" for life routinely attending reunions and other school functions. Serving as an example to his family and being the first to graduate from college Bob received a Bachelor of Science Degree from Villanova University in 1964 and later completed his MBA at Drexel University. Bob had a long and distinguished career as an executive in the chemical industry.
A lifelong fan and supporter of the local teams, Bob was a particularly avid and knowledgeable Villanova basketball fan. Being able to experience two national championships in 1985 and 2016 was very special to him.
Bob had a passion for music and was known for his eclectic taste. While maintaining an appreciation for traditional music he was interested in contemporary artists across a variety of styles and always had thoughtful recommendations for his family and friends.
Known for his quick wit and sense of humor, Bob maintained these qualities even during the struggles he endured over the last few years of his life.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation 10:00-11:00 AM Thursday, January 18, 2018 at SS Philip and James Church, 107 North Ship Road, Exton, PA 19341, followed by his Funeral Mass 11:00 AM. Interment Private.
