John A. Poteat, 49, of Hendersonville, TN, passed away on June 27, 2016.
Born in Lankershim, PA, he was the son of the late John R. and Janis (nee Towsley) Poteat.
John enjoyed coaching baseball and football for his son's teams. He was an avid actor who worked at Universal Studios during Halloween season.
John had a zest for life by always wanting the best for his family. He was always a good listener and was willing to help everyone. John was a caring, genuine man with a huge heart. He was larger than life.
He was the beloved husband of Khristy L. (nee McCabe) Poteat, loving father of Christian Poteat, the dear twin brother of Philip Dow Poteat (Kathy), Jennifer Poteat (Michael Stabler), and the late Harry Poteat.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Burial 2:30 PM Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at Forest Hills Cemetery, 415 Observatory St, Ann Arbor, MI 48104.
